Tactical sport orange mag release

Turning the Tactical Sport up a notch, the Orange borrows a number of design features from the Czechmate and incorporates a few of its own. With the slimmer trigger guard, revised grip geometry and finer checkering from the Czechmate frame, it adds a thumb stop and fully-adjustable target sights. With the same long slide and full-length dust cover as the standard TS, it also shares the single-action-only trigger, giving it an incredibly light pull and short reset, making it a joy to shoot at the range and deadly in competition.

Dan L — March 3, :. My wife took my first TSO for herself, so I bought a another for myself. Both are enjoyed immensely at the range. Had the slide milled for an RMR and the performance is phenomenal. Greg — December 18, :. This pistol is one of the best handguns I have ever run. Chris R — December 8, :. I just got the CZ orange in 9mm and my first time shooting it I saw a huge change in my accuracy. A couple hundred rounds later and I doubt my other pistols will be shot again at the range.

Just a fantastic firearm. Keanon — November 22, :. I always thought about getting a TS Orange but for some reason I kept backing away for some reason but I finally decided to get it. This firearm is excellent and makes me look better than the shooter I am.

Ben Stout — November 19, :. I just bought one and am currently modifying it slightly for my left-handed handicap. Mag release over to other side, Extended safety on right hand side of frame, and a czechmate side mount with a Trijicon SRO red dot. It is an incredibly precise and robust option. I appreciate the great recommendation of the owner of the armory which led me to decide for this option of which I am very grateful.

Excellent work CZ!

And looking for it in black instead of orange. Our factory has started importing the TSO with an orange paddle style magazine release, new trigger, and a new extended safety. The safety is the same as the Shadow 2 extended safety and will drop in. However, because the Tac Sport uses a different design of magazine, that magazine release and trigger you mentioned are new parts made specifically for the TSO series.

We have those parts on order from the factory, but no projected lead time yet for when we will receive those here. I have been told those parts should retro fit onto older TSO models.

Magazine Release Button - ORANGE

Cole Fox Customer Service Manager ext Thanks for the offer. I'll buy another one plus a Shadow 2 pad and take you up on that. Just let me know by private message where to send it and how much you'll charge. Thanks in advance. I ran palm swells on mine for a bit and they did indeed help a little. The mag release will still remind you of its presence after shooting for some time though.

I may pickup the new S2 style release or mod mine to see if that's an improvement. The side benefit is the grips provide a LOT better purchase. Thanks everyone on the reply's on the Lok palm swell's. As a lefty, the mag release on the TS Orange original version was causing me to drop mags inadvertently with my left index finger.

Did an epoxy job behind the trigger guard to keep offending finger away. I find that I can manipulate the release easily this way without having to grind it.

Both work fine. On a southpaw note: when I reversed the mag release for operation by left thumb, reliability plummeted because the holes on the magazines that engage the mag release aren't symmetrical, so the rounds don't always make it up the ramp and the gun won't fit the Standard Division box.

Sorry just going by what I was told. Hopefully someone will come along and shed some light on this. You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account. Paste as plain text instead. Only 75 emoji are allowed. Display as a link instead.

It is so long that it messes with my grip. Did anybody find any solution besides grinding it? Looks the Shadow 2 mag release does not work. Then see what your grip is like.

Does putting a plate on the slide move the thumb rest out away from the gun to a more natural or comfortable position? Is that what you are saying? It stops your thumb rubbing on the slide as it cycles. It becomes more of a problem the tighter you grip the gun. The recess that the factory thumb rest screws into makes this trickier. Now this looks likes like the solution I was looking for!

Now I need to find somebody to do this for me since I do not have the tools and skills to pull it off myself: Wondering if CZC would do it. First thing I did was ditch the thumbrest and the only thing I use my gun for is competition, lol. I shoot Production mainly and want to add some Limited to spice it up and shoot both divisions at Nationals next year. I am a huge fan of the set up. To your point about a high grip, this is another reason the factory TSO thumb rest doesn't work for me - it's non adjustable, so my thumb just kinda pokes into it and there is no real benefit.

I want my thumb to lie on top of a 45 degree angled thumb rest. How is this holding up? I am debating giving this a try myself. Where did you get the spare S2 pad? Or did you buy an entire mag catch assembly and just utilize the pad? Doesn't the S2 mag release pad have a roll pin that goes into a recess in the mag catch? I don't see that in your pic.

I used quite a bit of loctite and torqued it down pretty good. Does the DAA thumb rest just bolt or does it require modification? I have the IPSC Alex thumb rest and while it is a good quality product it is slightly too far forward for my hands.

The factory rest is in the perfect location for me but a little too small. After 20 min of dry firing 4 aces my thumb is in pain. If it was easy I would push that damn thing each time when I grip the gun I have not done any modification to it yet. Anyways, any ideas how to lighten it up?

Looks like the new TSOs are shipping with the Shadow 2 style magazine release and metal trigger. Anyone know where to get them?. I just bought my second TSO.

It came with the new magazine release. It's awesome.JavaScript seems to be disabled in your browser. You must have JavaScript enabled in your browser to utilize the functionality of this website. Most reacted comment.Specifically conceived for training and competition in practical or dynamic shooting specialties, the CZ Tactical Sports Orange represents yet another proof if one was ever necessary, that is! A solid platform, the CZ design is currently used as a basis for service, defensive, tactical and competition shooting handguns manufactured by a plethora of companies, in the widest array of variations, both in the Czech Republic and all over the world.

A Tactical Sports series pistol, the new CZ Tactical Sports Orange comes with a machined stainless steel whose design borrows more from the CZ TS Czechmate than from the standard "Tactical Sports " model, and features a left side-mounted installation bracket for optics mounts. The bright orange machined light aluminum alloy grip panels are reminiscent of the CZ SP Shadow Orange pistol, while the light alloy "Jet Funnel"-type quick-insertion magwell buttplate located at the bottom of the grip is a feature reprised from the CZ TS Czechmate Parrot model, albeit available in black rather than in a bright green color.

The grip of the CZ Tactical Sports Orange features redesigned front and rear checkering textures for a firmer grip and better shooting comfort, as well as a high-profile magazine release catch. The CZ Tactical Sports Orange semiautomatic pistol is mm long overall, and comes with a mm long barrel that is cold-hammer forged out of a different, more durable alloy steel if compared with other CZ barrels.

The single-action only trigger system, also featuring a frame-mounted manual safety, is also manually adjusted for competition-ready performance. The machined steel slide comes with front and rear serrations and hosts a rear sight that's fully adjustable for windage and elevation and a 1mm front sight with a fiber-optic insert; both are supplied by the well-known Italian LPA company.

The pistol feeds through double-stack sheet metal magazines with a bright orange buttplate; maximum capacity for both 9x19mm and 9x21mm tops 20 rounds, dropping to 17 rounds for.
